Fergana Oil Refinery Plant continues to modernize storage technologies for finished products.

The new tanks are fundamentally different from previous models and meet the latest requirements in terms of environmental and industrial safety and efficiency.

In particular, the new tanks will be equipped with special pontoons designed to reduce oil product losses from evaporation, as well as advanced measuring instruments for technological and commercial accounting of stored products. They will reduce the irretrievable loss of raw materials by 2%, which is equivalent to about 1 million US dollars, based on the cost of marketable products.

For better implementation of metrological calculations, production control, inventory and filling of the tank without the risk of overflow, the TankRadar Rex measuring system from the Swiss company EndressHauser is used. All these important indicators will be displayed in real time, as well as automatically stored in the database.

“The modernization program of the Ferghana Oil Refinery Plant provides for the phased decommissioning of old-type tanks. In the coming months, out of 325 tanks, we will optimize 116 and replace them with new samples. The plans include the installation of 36 new tanks. By now, 5 tanks of 2,000 m3 each, 5 tanks of 3,000 m3 each, and 2 tanks of 10,000 m3 each have already been delivered to the plant, construction and installation work is underway,” said Abdusalom Abdumanoniy, deputy director of the plant for modernization and prospective development. In addition, the transition to new reservoirs will reduce emissions of hydrocarbon gases into the atmosphere - up to 800 tons per year in the autumn-winter period and 2,200 tons per year in the spring-summer months.
